Day 2 Amman City Tour / Deseret Castles / Amman

Start going East of Amman to visit the Desert Castles, Qasr Kharraneh: With its imposing walls and panoramic views, it looks more like a palace. It is one of the best-preserved Umayyad monuments. Then to Qasr Amra: This is one of the best preserved monuments and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its interior walls and ceilings are covered with lively frescoes, and two of the rooms are paved with colorful mosaics. The paintings include themes such as hunting, dancing, and musicians, bathing scenes, cupids, and personifications of history, philosophy and poetry. The last to vosot is Qasr Azraq: Crafted from the region's black basalt rocks, the ancient fortress at Azraq has been in continuous use since late Roman times. It was the headquarters of Lawrence of Arabia during the Arab Revolt. Return to Amman for Amman City Tour, the modern - as well as the ancient - capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Known as Rabbath-Ammon during the Iron Age and later as Philadelphia, the ancient city that was once part of the Decapolis league. Visit the Citadel includes many structures such as the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace and the Byzantine Church. At the foot of the Citadel lies the 6,000 seat Roman Theatre, which is a deep-sided bowl carved into the hill and is still being used for cultural events. Day 3 Amman / Um Qais / Ajloun / Jerash / Amman

Travel north to Um Qais, Site of the famous miracle of the Gadarene swine, Gadara was renowned in its time as a cultural centre. It was the home of several classical poets and philosophers, including Theodorus, founder of a rhetorical school in Rome, and was once called “a new Athens” by a poet. Perched on a splendid hilltop overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Sea of Galilee, Gadara is known today as Um Qais, and boasts an impressive colonnaded street, a vaulted terrace, and the ruins of two theatres. Aloun Castle, built by one of Saladin's generals in 1184 AD to control the iron mines of Ajloun, and to deter the Franks from invading Ajloun. The Castle dominated the three main routes leading to the Jordan Valley and protected the trade and commercial routes between Jordan and Syria; it became an important link in the defensive chain against the Crusaders, who, unsuccessfully spent decades trying to capture the castle and the nearby village. continue to Jerash lies on a plain surrounded by hilly wooded areas and fertile basins, meet your local guide at Jerash Visitors Center, and start a 2 hours guided tour in the Roman City Conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was one of the ten great Roman cities of the Decapolis League. The city's golden age came under Roman rule, during which time it was known as Gerasa, and the site is now generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. Hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal provincial Roman urbanism that is found throughout the Middle East, comprising paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates.

Day 4 Amman / Madaba / Nebo / Mujeb / Kerak / Petra overnight

08:00 start your tour with a visit to The City of Mosaics Madaba. Visit St. George Church. Then Mount Nebo, one of the most revered holy sites of Jordan and the place where Moses was buried. Visit the Byzantine Church, stand on the platform in front of the church and admire the view. It overlooks the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, across to the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlehem and is absolutely breathtaking. Continue through Kings Way the world’s oldest continuously used communication route. It linked ancient Bashan, Giliad and Ammon in the north with Moab, Edom, Paran and Midian in the south. Abraham - a common patriarch of Jews, Christians, and Muslims - who passed through northern, central and southern Jordan, would certainly have used this route on his journey from Mesopotamia to Canaan. Moses asked the King of Edom if he and his people could "go along the Kings' Highway" during their journey to Canaan, but his request was refused. The Kings Highway is also mentioned in an earlier story in Genesis 14:5-8, in relation to the four Kings from the north, who attacked Soddom and Gomorrah and the three other Cities of the Plain. Stop at al Mujeb Dam Balcony for panoramic view of the Dame and the valley. Then continue to Kerak An ancient Crusader stronghold, Karak sits 900m above sea level and lies inside the walls of the old city. The city today is home to around 170,000 people and continues to boast a number of restored 19th century Ottoman buildings, restaurants, places to stay, and the like. But it is undoubtedly Karak Castle that dominates. Continue south to Petra, Arrive Petra, the world wonder, is without a doubt Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome.

Day 6 Petra / Little Petra / Wadi Rum

Close to Petra, after a 10 minute drive, you find Al Beidha, better known as Little Petra. Little Petra is literally hidden away in the center of a mountain with a classical temple standing guard outside the mini-siq. Little Petra appears to have been an important suburb of the city of Petra and is at the point where several ancient caravan routes met. The routes linked Wadi Araba with Gaza, Egypt and the Mediterranean coast. Afternoon, transfer to Wadi Rum, also known as The Moon Valley, a stupendous, timeless place, virtually untouched by humanity and its destructive forces. Here, it is the weather and winds that have carved the imposing, towering skyscrapers, so elegantly described by T.E. Lawrence as “vast, echoing and God-like”. A maze of monolithic rockscapes rise up from the desert floor to heights of 1,750m creating a natural challenge for serious mountaineers. Hikers can enjoy the tranquility of the boundless empty spaces and explore the canyons and water holes to discover 4000-year-old rock drawings and the many other spectacular treasures this vast wilderness holds in store Enjoy a 2 Hours Jeep Tour, ending with Sunset Viewing and time for meditation, then your Bedouin Driver will take you to your camp site, check in at your tent, enjoy dinner around open fire and relaxe after dinner with one life time experiences of Star Gazing, memorable moments to take home.
